With recent rising costs across Reno-Tahoe, food entrepreneurs are harnessing the power of community—and ingenuity—to start new businesses or take their existing ones to the next level. Commissary kitchens are popping up, creating affordable spaces and collaboration opportunities. Along with two other businesses, Edible Reno-Tahoe Magazine interviewed Tahoe Bread Company, a cottage food company who operates her business out of her home garage-turned-bakery in Kings Beach, CA.
HIVE Zine, The Generator (Reno)

This edition of the zine was themed around Hive. The zine was created in March 2022 and compiled and printed in April 2022. I decided to take a more literal approach when considering an Image. I submitted a frame of a small bumble bee collecting pollen In rural Idaho. Canon A1, Portra 400.
Love or Whatever Exhibit, The Potentialist

A multi-artist collection of images, mixed media, and sculptures for the Love or Whatever exhibit. I contributed six frames from various moments of my life that aligned with whatever lovey-dovey feeling overcame me the moment I clicked the shutter. My relationship with my subject(s) and the camera between us creates the most romantic love triangle.
Black Lives Matter Zine, Brushfire Literature & Arts Journal

The University of Nevada, Reno's Brushfire Literature & Arts Journal is the oldest literature & arts journal newspaper. They released a zine covering the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020. I contributed a series of photos to their publication from protests I personally documented in Reno and Carson City.

A colleague and former classmate from the Reynolds School of Journalism, JJ Mazzucotelli, wrote a piece about my experiences of documenting life events during the pandemic. They did an excellent job of conveying the absurdism of attempting to live freely, and happily during global turmoil.

During my study abroad semester in Viterbo, Italy, I interned for a regional online magazine as an English writer and photographer without an editor. I published eight articles covering four months of wondrous experiences. This little city and my beloved friends within its walls have a special place in my heart.
